Reality Check is an event put on by AIGA Seattle, designed to provide students and newcomers to the field of design
an opportunity to receive constructive portfolio feedback from experienced design professionals. Because this can be
such a anxiety-inducing event for students, I wanted to play up that aspect in a lighthearted way, without being too
literal in my representation. Since Reality Check is somewhat of a "wake-up call" for many of us, I used an old phone
that I had painted over and replaced its handle with a cactus. The blue hue of the materials represents our dream-like
state pre-Reality Check, and the green cactus represents the surprising, honest, yet necessary feedback from professionals.
In making the marketing materials, I practiced keeping a cohesive system throughout a variety of size specifications.
